Shetland Mainland Watershed Day 6


From Islesburgh to Eela Water Waterworks

My camera card was full after a few photos so the duller light photos here were from an earlier  planning walk.
The Merlin Chick was taken on the walk


Up to the top of the road cutting





Then follow the ridge to cross the road


Looking back from top of road cutting



Cross the road and ascend Hurda Field


Pass the perrie loch


To the summit with fantastic views at only 119M






Follow the wide ridge NW (Looking back at Trig point)


Sullom Voe Oil Terminal in the Distance


From the hill of Haggrister look down on the Loch of Lunnister




Onward with Scora water and Stanes water off to the East.

Avoid stepping on a Merlin? Chick at the Hamars of Buraland.















Trig point at 121M


Past Wester Water and up Yamna Field hill



Over Yamna Field and down along the ridge past the Roonans to finish todays walk at the Sheep's pen on the crest of the brae, to the East of the water works buildings.
